Eqi Glacier Tour
Join us on a trip to the Eqi Glacier in a closed boat.
Every time you approach the Eqi Glacier by boat, it is a breathtaking experience.
On the beautiful Greenlandic coast, a four-kilometer-wide and 200-meter-high ice wall rises between the mountains. During the big calves, you can see and hear huge chunks of ice breaking off and hitting the sea, far away.
The Eqi Glacier, also known as Eqip Sermia in Greenlandic, is one of the largest calving glaciers in all of Greenland and is located 70 kilometers north of Ilulissat.
Some of the first polar scientists in Greenland chose this location to study the ice sheet because it provides quick access to the ice sheet.
