Dog sledding tours in the mountains

Dog sledding adventure in the mountains — Ilulissat.

Experience the wild beauty of Greenland on this unique combination of snowmobile and dog sled!

🚩 Venue — Ilulissat

We start at our meeting place 30 minutes before departure in Ilulissat. We get ready with helmets and seat belts on our snowmobiles.

🏔️ Snoscooter tour (17 km/~30 min)

Drive through rugged mountains and pristine Greenlandic nature until we arrive at our cozy red cabin in the middle of nowhere, where our 31 dogs stay for the winter.

🐕 Dog sledding (11—12 km/~1 hour)

Replace the snowmobile with the dog sled. Meet Jørgen, co-owner and 5-time Greenlandic champion in dog sledding, and glide across mountains, frozen lakes and scenic trails. Our experience tells us that 1 hour is more than enough for tourists — longer trips on the sleigh can be uncomfortable.

📸 Stop at our favorite vantage point

We stop at our favorite vantage point with views of the ice fjord, the glaciers and the Greenland ice sheet. Take pictures, pet the dogs and listen to exciting Greenlandic stories.

🛷 Sleigh capacity

We have two sleds and two dog bags that can transport up to 8 participants at a time. For larger groups or other times, feel free to contact us directly — we are flexible and work with several experienced dog sledders.

☕ Hot drinks and snacks in the cabin

After a stay at the viewpoint, we return to our cabin to warm ourselves with hot drinks and snacks before heading back to Ilulissat on a snowmobile.

🏔️ Snowmobile back to Ilulissat (17 km/~30 min)

Enjoy the scenic walk back through the mountains to the city.

📍 Season: January — April.

*In April we will move our dogs from the mountains to Pakiitsoq fjord.

⏱ Duration: 3—4 hours (depending on snow and weather conditions).
