Whalesafari

2 hours and 45 minutes

Easy

Experience the whales of Nuuk Fjord, the biggest mammals in the ocean!

Jump onto our boat with our local guides and explore the beautiful Nuuk fjord, looking for our local resident giants of the sea – the whale!

Departing from the Tide Water Steps, a short distance from the Nuuk city centre, jump into our comfortable Targa boats, with our knowledgeable local guides who will take you to explore the waters of Nuuk Fjord. Nuuk Fjord is perfect for whale watching as they are strictly protected from hunting in this area, allowing them to feed, live and play freely.

As with other wild animals in their natural habitat, even though there are many whales living in the Nuuk fjord area, they can sometimes be elusive to humans, however your local experienced guide will take you to the places where whales tend to be. Our guides are all seasoned locals who know the Nuuk fjord system like their own backyard!

Once a whale is spotted, your guide will take your boat closer to them in a responsible way, so as not to disturb the whales.
