The humpback whale is the acrobat among the great whales, despite its huge size up to 18 metres and 30 tonnes. When it breaches, it can launch its whole body out of the water and strike the surface with its tail and fins! It's easy to recognise by the bump on its back and its long white fins. 

Our skipper is always updated on the latest whale sightings in the Disco Bay area, so usually it won’t take long for us to spot the first whale.
