Boat transfer from Ilulissat to Oqaatsut
If you need fast and easy transportation from Ilulissat to Oqaatsut, our boat transfer is the ideal choice.
Visit Oqaatsut (Rodebay) to experience the everyday life of living in a remote settlement, where hunting and fishing is still the main occupation.
There is also a famous hiking trail between Ilulissat and Oqaatsut known as “The Old Mail Route”. If you're into hiking, this is a must-do!
The trail is marked with orange dots🟠 and is approximately 20 kilometers/12.5 miles (one way) and can be done in 6-7 hours. With our boat transfer, you can either hike back from Oqaatsut in the morning or start of from Ilulissat and be picked up in Oqaatsut in the afternoon.
The captain will point out the trailhead and give a brief introduction to the sights of Oqaatsut, where most hikers spend an hour exploring before beginning their hike. You can also decide to spend the whole day in Oqaatsut, but then make sure to book our afternoon shuttle back to Ilulissat!
